Sam beats me!

I have no photos because Sam feels bad as it is so I will not share anything (its not even that bad)
Last night Sam could not sleep for the life of him, as for me I was out like a log!! When I sleep I will rolled to where I am closer to him when it is really cold out, and last night was 20* so it was a cold night. Sam rolled over and I felt like someone punched me in the face! His elbow hit me across the mouth, nose and my right eye, all in one hit! So needless to say I woke from my lovely sleeping to being very confused and in pain! Poor Sam felt so bad, I kept asking why he punched me in a sleepy/confused voice I think that made him feel worst. But it was only his elbow and life goes on. My face hurt all day but it feels fine now. I was in bed with Sam for a little bit tonight til I was keeping him up, and I came down stairs. He was on the edge of the bed so he wouldn't roll on me again tonight :)
But this is the only downside from sleeping in the same bed we have found so far, so it will be ok. I am sure when I look at this blog books in a few years We will both laugh at this midnight beating!

Our Loving Bed!!

Ok so I know that a bed is a common thing to have in a house, in fact some households have more than one bed. Well it is a blessing to us in SOO many ways!
Sam and I spent the first few nights (our honeymoon) of being married in a resort bed and it was so nice, than a few nights on an air bed at his house in Mesa, New Years Eve at my Aunts and Uncles guest bed.

Resort bed AZ Grand

During the time that we  have been in Oklahoma we have been on a queen Airbed.

Airbed
It has not been great; we got a futon bed when my uncle, mom, and cousin came to stay on their way to Kansas, So we have spent some time on that bed, not great at all.

Our Futon

This is the window that opens to the back of the apartment, too much going on back there.

Poor Sam is to long and would always hit his ankle on the wood armrest at the end of the bed. Now don’t get me wrong I love my futon in Mesa I slept on it for years, but when you have a someone else sleeping with you and that someone else is 6' 4" it is hard to sleep well. And we had it next to a wall, and I would sleep on the wall side so Sam could sleep better because he had to go to work. Yes I rolled my head into that evil wall so many times. Also our guest bedroom/office's window is facing the back of the Apartment, so we would hear people parking their cars, kids playing in their back yards, people smoking in their back yards, and the main road with cars going by all night.

But the worst part of all was "The Noise". When we got back from Mesa when Sam's dad had his heart attack, we started sleeping on the futon, and my body is so warm that we have to leave the window open or Sam will cook sleeping next to me. Well we went to bed Sunday night kind of late, and "The Noise" started, we called the cops because it sounded like a tennis ball being thrown against the wall all night, they couldn’t find anyone out that late, than we called our Apartment 24 hours number and they said there was nothing they could do till morning. And the morning came and the noise was gone, we fought with this for two and a half weeks until the noise was happening during the day, they went up on the roof and it was the trees hitting some lose roofing when the wind was blowing hard. All this was done the day before we got our new bed.

Our New Bed!!
I know it looks small but it is just the right size!!

So for Pres. Day weekend we went out and got ourselves a bed! But it took almost a week and a half to get here because the bed we had got first was broken or torn, so we had to sleep on the evil futon some more.  But anyways that was our bed drama, and we slept in our new bed last night and it was so great.

Heartattacks for Valentine's Day

I know this post is way way late!
So Sam and I spent our first Valentine's Day as a married couple (and our first one where we are in the same state) packing, making planes, and flying to Mesa AZ.
Lets back up some. Sunday night Feb 13th Sam got a text sayint that his dad was going to the ER. Next text we got was Dad had a heart attack and is being Airvaced to Chandler Regional. Sam call his teacher and told him the news and asked it he could go home. His teacher said if he went home that he may have to start the class all over again in March with the new class. My poor husband had such a torn heart about this, after 2 months of class he would have to start this whole thing over again, but for once he was able to come home when his Dad was hurt. Than we were told that he was going into surgery, Sam called his teacher again and gave him an update. He told him he had leave time if he wanted to take it. Sam and I talked, called my Mom and Dad, and checked our banks. We prayed and we felt we needed to go home, my Mom was in Kansas and had passes on her, our taxes came in the day before, and Sam could take the leave, there were too many things in place for us not to go. By the end of the night Sam's two of three sisters in Utah where on their way driving, and Sam's Dad had a Temp pacemaker in, and my mom was booked to come in at 9 the next day.
Monday Sam went to work filled out his leave forms and everyone signed off on it right away, He met with the Officer in charge of the his squadron and he told him that everything would be here waiting for him when he got back, but he needed to go home and take care of his family and not worry about work. Sam stress went right out the window when he said that. We had a late flight because that was the only one we could get on, got in AZ at 10pm. Got our rental car, and went to see Pa Fuller. We were at CR just in time to see him and say a family prayer that had such a sweet loving spirit in the room. Sam and I left to head to my house, we stopped and got some Filie B's and went and ate on the bed in my old room.
Before we left Oklahoma, Sam got a small gift from me. We also had to get my birthcontrol filled before we left, so we took turns looking at cards while we waited for my Rx to get filled. Than we got home signed our cards in different rooms and handed them to each other. Nothing like we had planned in doing, but it was a sweet thing to fly together next to each other and enjoy the time together away from work and stress.
Pa Fuller was able to go home on Thursday, Feb 16th. We had a great time see everyone one on his side, and we saw about half of my family and a few friends. It was a good trip to see everyone, but Sunday we were very happy to come home and spend the day just us and having the whole day Monday together to unpack and rest. I loved our fun times together, and I think that our Holidays will get better.
